Permanent Leading Hand - $130k + Ot, Allowances, Van

Our client is a well established national engineering and mechanical services business that continues to secure strong project and maintenance work. Due to ongoing growth, they are now looking to bring on an experienced Leading Hand to oversee onsite projects.

This is a hands on leadership role suited to a fitter who enjoys being on the tools while coordinating a team and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading small teams of mechanical trades and contractors on site
• Coordinating and completing mechanical installations
• Managing maintenance works across a range of industrial equipment
• Supporting shutdown projects and planned outages
• Ensuring work is completed safely and to client specifications
• Working closely with supervisors and project teams to deliver quality outcomes

What we’re looking for

• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter
• Previous experience in a Leading Hand or supervisory role
• Strong installation and maintenance background
• Experience working on projects and shutdowns
• Ability to lead from the front and keep crews productive
